At AWC of MI, we are committed to developing a working relationship between the physician, the therapist and the patient.  This triangle of therapy promotes faster healing and the long term wellness of the patient.

Medical Massage, unlike any other therapeutic massage is "    outcome based " and is always performed under the guidance of a physician with the use of a prescription. The therapist knows how to take a physician's diagnosis (for example, cervical sprain/strain) and translate it into a pathology for a workable treatment.

The physician can be assured that his/her patient will be well taken care of because as a part of " the healing team" the diagnosis and treatment plan as outlined by the prescription will be followed carefully and all massage treatment will be validated by Special Orthopedic Testing and Evaluation Techniques.

The patient is served well by this alliance.  Healing occurs more quickly, often the amount of medication medication needed is cut considerably and in many cases,  the medical massage sessions are  covered by their insurance company.
